1 · Terms of use
What the map is. The Interactive Map is an information service of the Canadian Association of Nuclear Medicine / Association canadienne de médecine nucléaire (CANM · ACMN). It describes where nuclear medicine services exist in Canada, drawn from public sources, licensing records, institutional websites and information reported by centres.
Not medical advice. Nothing on the map is a recommendation to attend, avoid or prefer any centre. Confirm services, hours and referral requirements with the centre or your physician before travelling.
Accuracy. We work to keep the map current, and every submission is reviewed before it is published, but we cannot guarantee that every record is complete or current. A blank field means not reported, never none. No centre is ranked, scored or compared on quality anywhere on the map.
Use of the public tier. You may use, quote and link to public information on the map for any lawful purpose with attribution: Source: CANM Interactive Map, [year]. You may not scrape the site at a rate that degrades it, present the data as your own, or imply CANM endorsement.
Gated tiers. Market Insights, Intelligence and NM-RAI are reserved for CANM members, partners and authorised organisations. Access codes are issued to an organisation and may be shared only within it. Use of gated data is governed by the data-use statement below. CANM may revoke access at any time.
Changes. We may change the map, the tiers or these terms; the date at the foot of the page records the version in force. Continued use means you accept the current version.
Law. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there.
2 · Privacy notice
Our approach. The map is designed to work without collecting personal information. We set no tracking cookies and build no profiles.
What stays on your device. Your appearance preference, language preference, a cached copy of the map data and, for gated tiers, the organisation you signed in as are stored in your browser only. Clearing site data removes them.
Usage measurement. We measure page views and feature use with a cookieless analytics service that records no personal identifiers, no search queries and no IP addresses beyond the request itself. For gated tiers the record includes the organisation name that signed in, so that we can report participation to that organisation.
Third parties. Map tiles are served by Mapbox, which receives your IP address and the tiles requested, under the Mapbox privacy policy. Fonts are served by Google Fonts. The centre-update form is hosted by Google Forms; what you enter there is covered by Google's privacy policy and by this notice once it reaches CANM.
Information about centres. Records describe institutions, not individuals. Contact details are the centre's published general numbers, addresses and websites. Staffing figures are aggregate counts reported by the centre and are shown only to members and partners.
Information you send us. If you submit a correction or a request, we keep your name and email to follow up and to record who supplied a change. We do not use them for marketing and do not share them outside CANM and the reviewers acting for it.
Your rights. Under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act and, in Quebec, the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25), you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and withdraw consent. Write to support@canm-acmn.ca. The person responsible for the protection of personal information at CANM is [name and title to be confirmed]. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
Where data is kept. The site is hosted on a content delivery network with servers in North America. Member and partner data is being moved to Canadian-hosted infrastructure as part of the next release.
3 · Data-use statement for members and partners
What you receive. Installed systems by manufacturer and model, isotope inventories, staffing counts, provenance for every field, CSV export, the Market Intelligence Report as dashboards, and readiness profiles under the NM-RAI pilot. Each figure carries an evidence tier and a period; tier C and D figures are conditional and are marked as such.
Permitted uses. Internal planning, market analysis, service development, research and education within your organisation. Aggregate figures may be cited externally with attribution: Source: CANM Interactive Map, [year].
Not permitted. Publishing or advertising claims about a named centre based on gated data; resale or redistribution of the dataset or the export; re-identifying individuals from staffing figures; presenting readiness profiles as scores, rankings or endorsements; use of any figure in regulatory or legal proceedings without CANM's written agreement.
Corrections. If you believe a record is wrong, tell us through the update form or by email. We review, verify with the centre where possible, and publish the correction with a new data date.
Term. Access runs with your membership or partnership agreement and ends with it. Exports made during the term remain subject to this statement.
4 · Partner independence
Partner support helps CANM maintain the infrastructure behind the Interactive Map, including data validation, platform development and national reporting tools. In accepting support, CANM and each partner agree to the following.
CANM controls methodology, site inclusion, data interpretation and published content. Partners do not set indicators, weights, thresholds or exclusion rules.
No endorsement. Recognition on the map acknowledges support. It does not imply that CANM endorses a partner's products, nor that a partner endorses any centre.
No marketing use of unvalidated indicators. Readiness profiles, evidence tiers and completeness figures describe data coverage, not performance, and may not be used in promotional material.
Clinical independence. Nothing on the map, in the report or in the readiness index is influenced by a partner's commercial interest in a modality, isotope or product.
Transparency. Partners and their tier are named on the public partners page. Funding of specific work, such as validation of a data domain, is disclosed alongside that work.
